ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ, 24 ਮਾਰਚ (                         ):- “ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਕੂਮਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਉਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਵੇ ਕਿਆਸਅਰਾਈਆਂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਨਵੇ ਜ਼ਾਬਰ ਡੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ ਸੁਮੇਧ ਸੈਣੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਉਤੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫਿਰ ਤਸੱਦਦ, ਜ਼ਬਰ-ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਗਈ । ਜਦੋ ਅੱਜ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਭਾਈਕੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਤਿੰਨ ਮੰਡ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸ. ਹਰਭਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੰਡ, ਸ. ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੰਡ, ਸ. ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਣੋਇਏ ਸ. ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਲੱਡੂ ਦੀ ਬਰਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਮਨਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਮਨਮਈ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਰੋਸ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਦਕੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੀ ਰੋਸ ਮਾਰਚ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ਾਲਮਨਾਂ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਹਵੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਤਸੱਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਾ ਅਧਿਆਏ ਸੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ । ਜੋ ਅਤਿ ਮੰਦਭਾਗੀ ਅਮਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਕਤਈ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀ ਕਰੇਗੀ ।”

          ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅੱਜ ਇਥੇ ਸ. ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ) ਨੇ ਬਾਦਲ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਡੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੈਣੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਤੋ ਅਣਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ ਸੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜ਼ਬਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਰਜੋਰ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਅਮਲ ਤੋ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸਪਸਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬਾਦਲ ਹਕੂਮਤ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਮੁਤੱਸਵੀ ਸੋਚ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੂਤਵ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਕਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ ਨਹੀ ਹਨ । ਬਲਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਜ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੀਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਲਗਵਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਿੰਦੂਤਵ ਸੋਚ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ । ਜਦੋ ਕਿ ਕੌਮ 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਸ ਵੱਜੋ ਮੁਕੱਮਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ 30-31 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ, ਭਾਈ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਹੈ ।

          ਸ. ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸ. ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ, ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬੀਬੀ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਭੱਠਲ, ਸ. ਰਵੀਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ. ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ, ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਧੂੰਮਾਂ, ਬਾਬਾ ਰਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ, (ਦੋਵੇ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ), ਬੀਬੀ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ, ਬਾਦਲ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸਿੱਖ ਫੰਡਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ, ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਜ, ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ, ਕਾਉਮਨਿਸ਼ਟ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਜੀਪੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਮਿਲ ਨਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਆਂ, ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੀਰੀ-ਪੀਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋ ਸਮੁੱਚੀਆਂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋ 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬੰਦ ਦੇ ਸੱਦੇ, 29 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਤੋ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਰੋਸ ਮਾਰਚਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੇਸ਼ਰੀ ਦੁਪੱਟੇ, ਦਸਤਾਰਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ । ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੀਆਂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ 30 ਅਤੇ 31 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਹੀਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਰੱਸੇ ਤੋ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਫਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਕੇ । ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਜ਼ੀਦਾਂ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਜਿ਼ਲ ਵੱਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਸੁਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵੱਧ ਸਕੇ ।

The Sikh high priests today issued directions to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and SGPC Chief Avtar Singh Makkar to meet President Pratibha Patil and make efforts to save Balwant Singh Rajoana, convict in former CM Beant Singh’s assassination, from the gallows. Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh made this announcement after receiving suggestions from various Panthic, social and political organisations throughout the day and subsequently deliberating on them during a meeting of the Sikh clergy.

The Jathedar asked the CM and the SGPC president to take all possible measures to get Rajoana released without any condition. He also asked them to make the President aware about the "injustice being meted out to the Sikhs".
The Sikh clergy also gave a call for bandh on March 28, though not in a direct manner. They have asked the people to "refrain from work" on March 28 and perform "ardaas" for the "Chardi Kala" (high spirits) of Rajoana. "The men should sport saffron turbans while women should wear saffron dupattas on March 28. The people should also put up saffron flags on their vehicles and commercial establishments to support the cause," they said.
The Akal Takht Jathedar also declared Dilawar Singh, assassin of Beant Singh, a "national martyr" and Rajoana a "living martyr". The Sikh clergy lashed out at the government and the judiciary for “resorting to double standards”. "While the death sentence of Kishori Lal, convicted in 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and Dara Singh, convicted in Graham Staines case, were commuted, this was not done in the case of Rajoana," it was stated.
They also opposed the capital punishment on humanitarian grounds. "The judiciary should try to award death penalty in minimum cases. Many countries have abolished death sentence and the same should be done here in the interest of humanity," it was stated.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed outside the Akal Takh Secretariat while the meeting of the Sikh clergy was on in the evening.

The five Sikh high priests today directed Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar to “immediately” meet the President and take appropriate steps through the state and union governments to ensure the “unconditional release” of Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Balwant Singh Rajoana.

Rajoana, convicted for the assassination of former chief minister Beant Singh, has been ordered to be hanged on March 31 by a Chandigarh court.

Reading the order, Akal Takht chief Giani Gurbachan Singh also conferred the title of ‘Zinda Shaheed’ (Living Martyr) on Rajoana for his “brave, determined and fearless stand against the atrocities by the centre”. He also bestowed upon Dilawar Singh, who had blown up Beant Singh and died in the process, the title of ‘National Martyr of Sikhs’.

The Akal Takht chief said the decision was reached in daylong deliberations by the high priests on more than 250 written suggestions received from religious, political and social organisations.

Earlier, a group of pro-Khalistan activists raised slogans against the clergy for nearly 40 minutes outside the Akal Takht secretariat.

ਲੂਵਨ (ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ), 22 ਮਾਰਚ (ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੋਗਲ)-ਸਿੱਖ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਬੈਨੇਲੁਕਸ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਈਟਸ ਆਰਗੇਨਾਈਜ਼ੇਸ਼ਨ ਬੈਨੇਲੁਕਸ, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ ਡੈਨਹਾਗ ਨੇ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਦਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਹੀਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ।

ਮੈਲਬੌਰਨ, 23 ਮਾਰਚ (ਸਰਤਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਧੌਲ)-ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਇਥੋਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ ਕਰੇਗੀਬਰਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ: ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ-ਮਸ਼ਵਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਤਾ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਨ, ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਗਾਨਗੀ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ, ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਰ-ਪੈਰ 'ਤੇ ਧੱਕਾ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ: ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਠਾੜੂ, ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਾਬਲਾ, ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋਗਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗਿ: ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾਯਾਫ਼ਤਾ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਢੁੱਕਵੀਂ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ‘ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ’ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ‘ਕੌਮੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ’ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਤਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ। ਇਹ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮਰਹੂਮ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾਯਾਫ਼ਤਾ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲਏ ਸੁਝਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਇੱਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰੇਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ 250 ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਲਏ। ਮਗਰੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਏ ਸੁਝਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅਗਲੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੀ ਫਸੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਭੇਜੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕੌਮੀ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਬਰ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਦੀ ਘਾਲਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸਨੂੰ ‘ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ’ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ‘ਕੌਮੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ’ ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਅੱਤਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਲਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਅਮਾਨਤ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਕਰਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਆਗੂ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫ਼ੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ। ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਸ ਅਣਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੋਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਇਸ ਸਲੂਕ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਸ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਦਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਸਜਾਉਣ, ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਦੁਪੱਟੇ ਲੈਣ, ਘਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਹਿਰਾਏ ਜਾਣ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਵੀ ਖਾਲਸਾਈ ਝੰਡੇ ਲਾਏ ਜਾਣ। 28 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਐਲਾਨਣ ਸਮੇਂ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ  ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਤਰਲੋਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੰਦਗੜ੍ਹ, ਤਖ਼ਤ ਪਟਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰੇਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੰਮਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਕੱਤਰਤਾ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਕੁਨ ਬੈਠੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਪੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਿਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ, ਖਾਲਸਾ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਨਵੀਨਰ ਭਾਈ ਮੋਹਕਮ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਾਚਕ, ਅਖੰਡ ਕੀਰਤਨੀ ਜਥੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਈ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਆਰ।ਪੀ। ਸਿੰਘ ਆਦਿ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਜਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ, ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ, ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਨਾਅਰਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਉਤੇਜਿਤ ਵੀ ਬਣਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਕਰੀਬ ਪੰਜ ਵਜੇ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਉਤੇਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਾਏ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵੀ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮਾਹੌਲ ਦੇ ਤਣਾਅਪੂਰਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਟਾਸਕ ਫੋਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਜਥੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਘੇਰਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਘੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

The execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana,

It is a painful trauma for the Sikhs to see that the execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana will take place in Patiala Central Jail at 9 AM on 31^st March 2012. The warrants for his execution have been issued once again by the district judge of Chandigarh, Shalini Nagpal.  

It is hard to believe that though THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State) is believed to be a civilized state, it will resort to executing a Sikh in spite of the fact that the UN and the European Union forbids capital punishment. We feel it is horrid that a civilized state should resort to killing a human being who has refused to defend himself in a court of law through his lawyer because he believes that the Hindu state would execute him nevertheless even though he puts up his defence in a court of law presided over by a Hindu judge.

To a great extent he is right because the other Sikh Bhai Davinderpal Singh Bhullar who awaits execution in Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail went through the whole rigmarole of the legal and court procedure by engaging a lawyer but eventually failed to get justice because he was a Sikh. The fact of his case is that sixty five prosecution witnesses refused to depose against him in the court of law but nevertheless he was sentenced to death by the Hindu judge of the trial court in Delhi, on the basis of a confession stated to have been made by Bhullar to a Hindu police officer.

Now the law is that in accordance with the Indian Evidence Act, its section 25 a confession made to a police officer is not admissible in a court of law. Never mind the statuary law and its section 25, Bhullar was sentenced to death. Its similar to what happens to blacks in the US. By hell or by crook Sikhs and blacks have to be sent to the gallows.

Later, Bhullar appealed to the Supreme Court of THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State), which is said to be impartial and does not suffer from a communal bias. In the Supreme Court a three member Bench of judges was set up to hear the appeal of Bhullar. The presiding judge of the Bench Justice Shah, a Muslim, set Bhullar free exonerating him of all charges but the other two Hindu judges upheld the decision of the lower trial court and sentenced him to death, which he awaits. So much for the justice for Sikhs in THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State).

In similar circumstances the Sikh awaiting to be executed at 9 AM on 31^st March 2012 Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana refused to engage any legal aid against his prosecution because he was wise enough to realize that he would not be prosecuted but persecuted by the Hindu state and its prejudicial legal system weighing against the minority Sikh nationality and race. As such I think he has saved his honour and at the same time the pride of the Sikh peoples.

If the execution goes through as I think it will because the Sikhs at present have lost pride in their separate Sikh nationality and identity and voted lock stock and barrel for the right-wing Hindu nationalist parties- the BJP, Badal Dal, Congress, BSP, Manpreet’s PPP in conjunction with the Communists in the elections to the state Assembly held on 30^th January 2012, the Sikh leadership across this political spectrum is not coming forward to oppose the execution of Bhai Rajoana.

Yesterday, our party called a broad gathering of Sikh leaders from all political parties, the influential Sant Samaj, Damdami Taksal, intellectuals and others but for a handful of Sikh leaders the others refused to attend. It appears that the Sikh leaders by doing this are going to lose being the shepherds of their respective flocks because their flocks are already coming on to the streets in protest against the execution. It is a situation similar to the one that prevailed prior to the dreadful and brutal Operation Blue Star of 1984.

In THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State) is constitution there is a provision that the Governor of a state or the President of THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State) can give a reprieve and set a prisoner free. Invariably in the case of executions of Hindus this clause in the constitution is invoked and a Hindu prisoner is set free.

I do hope that the sentiments of the Sikhs are kept in view on the impending unjustified execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana or we will have total turmoil and dissatisfaction amongst the Sikhs who have without their consent been forced to be included in the Hindu state in 1947 though they should have got a separate independent and sovereign state of their own which would have become a viable buffer state between three inimical nuclear armed states- Islamic Pakistan, Communist China and THIS(Theocratic Hindu Indian State).

I do not think the Sikhs around the globe would accept the execution of a Sikh who did not submit before a right-wing theocratic Hindu state and preferred his honour and not his life. Another William Tell in the making. Let us bow to this great Sikh patriot and pray to God Almighty that better sense prevails amongst the ruling Hindus. Tomorrow we assemble before the Akal Takhat under the leadership of the Akal Takhat  Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh to let him decide the future course of action to save Bhai Rajoana.
